Middle East

The Middle East, as Europe was after World War II, must not and can not be secured and stabilized with democratic structures and functions overnight. The average time frame to establish security and stability based upon democratic structures and functions takes about 10 to 15 years. History must not and can not be overlooked. At the same time, terrorism is not going to be solved by using the short term United States security and strategic policy, rather the long term United States security and strategic policy must be used.
