Applications and Iran

Iran inventories of weapons, missiles, and combat planes has increased in the past six months. Iran has warned the six neighboring countries that their refineries and oil installations would become targets if the United States were to attack. Inventories of submarines and destroyers have also increased. Based upon inventories of weapons, missiles, and combat planes before March of 2003, increase in inventories of weapons, missiles, and combat planes range from 200% to 400%.

The six neighboring countries to Iran have increased their inventories of weapons, missiles, and combat planes in the past four months. Inventories of submarines and destroyers have also increased. Based upon inventories of weapons, missiles, and combat planes before March of 2003, increase in inventories of weapons, missiles, and combat planes range from 50% to 300%.

Offensive and defensive weapon systems have been deployed in the past three months. Number of submarines and destroyers in the Sea of Oman has increased. Since March of 2006, refineries and oil installations are protected by Patriot Air Defense Systems. Stock of oil has been set aside and refineries and oil installations can handle temporary stop of refineries and oil installations.
