United States Air Force, ProLogic, Inc., Force Protection and Enhanced Situational Awareness Capabilities, and Pocket J System

United States Air Force Electronic Systems Tactical Data Link Systems Office based at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA is developing the Pocket J System with ProLogic, Inc.. Pocket J System will connect United States aircraft controllers, the United States Air Force radar sites, and the Federal Aviation Administration radar sites to the displays in the cockpits of combat air patrol aircrafts flying over United States which will provide the location of the terrorist controlled aircraft, direction of the terrorist controlled aircraft, and speed of the terrorist controlled aircraft. Radars are vital given terrorists turning off the radio identification and tracking signal, leaving conventional radar tracking of the terrorist controlled aircraft as the only means for identifying and tracking the terrorist controlled aircraft. The Pocket J System Tactical Data Link Systems will be based at the North American Aerospace Defense Command, United States Air Force radar sites, and Air Defense Centers which will provide time critical communication of intercept information between the United States air controllers and the combat air patrol pilots flying the interceptor aircraft.
